Disruptive Forces – How are they affecting you?
Are you experiencing Disruptive Forces in your life?
Are there times in your life when the stuff seems to be hitting the fan a lot more than other times?
Have you ever stopped to ponder what you were thinking about or involved in when it was happening?
Did you wonder what was actually causing it to happen?
The closer we get to the Lord our God the more the enemy will attack you!
That’s right, ATTACK YOU!
The definition of the word Attack according to the dictionary is: “the act of attacking; onslaught; assault OR a military offensive against an enemy or enemy position.”
You just read that correctly, the enemy has legal right to assault you with vigorous attacks using military style offensives against YOU!
Like it or not YOU (covered in the blood of Jesus Christ) are the enemy to Lucifer (some also call him satan, the enemy, the devil or the father of lies). He and his fallen angels are doing everything in their power to infiltrate your mind, your life and your actions to carry out their agenda of corrupting you and turning you against following the ways of God.
In John 8:44 the scripture says that “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”
Have you or someone you know done something nice for someone and it doesn’t work out?
Most people’s response would be the to say I’m never going to do that again, right?
That’s exactly what the enemy wants. He wants you to stop loving others like you love God. The enemy wants you to stop helping people who need your help and stop loving the people who need your love. The enemy wants to turn you against following the ways of God by constantly trying to poison our good will.
The enemy try’s to sabotage us 24/7, that’s actually his job and all he exists for. He looks for weaknesses to exploit in us. He try’s to use others against us. He try’s to turn situations against us.
Power In The Word of God
In Ephesians 6:11-18 the scripture says 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
This such a powerful scripture to educate us for what we are truly up against. This is not something that we should take lightly. We need to take spiritual warfare and protecting ourselves against it very seriously. God is literally telling us what we are up against and giving us specific directions for how we can defend ourselves.
We should follow the words of Jesus when he rebuked the enemy in Matthew 4:4 “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”
Thank you Jesus, for your sacrifice on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus, you are Lord!
Our prayer for all who read this is that each and every day and in all that you do, may God’s love fill your heart and may you love others the same way!
Faithfully yours in Christ ~ Matt
